The eldest son should perform the rites. If he is unavailable for any reason, daughters can also carry out the rites with the family's permission. In some instances, the son-in-law may also perform the rites if the daughter is unable to do so for any reason.

It is not carried out in cases of unnatural deaths, such as sudden deaths, road accidents, chronic illnesses, etc.

The person should observe a fast on the day of the pooja and only break it after the pooja is completed.

Havan is not performed in Tripindi Shradh Pooja.

Every Shradh Pooja, including Tripindi Shradh, should end with feeding the Brahmins and making donations to them.
