What is Tripindi Shradh Pooja?
Tripindi Shradh is a ritual to honour three generations of ancestors from both the maternal and paternal sides. This Pooja is also performed to remove Pitra Dosha within the family. The procedure of Tripindi Shradh differs from Pind Daan and should not be confused with regular Pind Daan. The Pooja involves the Kalash Pooja of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. Sacred Suktams, such as the Brahma Suktam, Rudra Suktam, and Purush Suktam, are recited, followed by Pind Daan and holy bathing. This Pooja is considered highly powerful as it liberates the soul of the deceased from obstacles in the afterlife and promotes health, happiness, and well-being for the family.
